Bidrage med feedbackThe lunch is always excellent even if not too may choices - we tried the fish and the pasta dish - excellent. And we particularly like the polenta chips - something unusual but tasty.
What a fantastic concert venue! Large enough to hold an enthusiastic crowd but small enough that it's still got a somewhat intimate feel to the gigs. Will be back to enjoy more great acts here in future.
Was expecting great food, after reading glowing reports on here from other patrons, but was very dissapointed. Food was served on plain white plates, not 3 tiered plates as is normal. No offer of flavoured teas as is normal for high tea, just plain tea in a pot. It just did not feel like any HIGH TEA that I have attended before. Cakes at the end were served on 3 tiered plates, but again just plain white plates, no fine china in site. We had plenty to eat though, but I doubt we will go back. If you are expecting something really special, I would go somewhere else.
I went there 3 weeks ago for High Tea which is held every Friday afternoon. It was value for money with all home made cakes /slices.Unlimited tea or coffee.
The old wool exchange building has been revamped, and it's worth it.It's an open kitchen, with open and friendly staff. The food's interesting (in a good way!) but more importantly, well cooked, well presented and full of flavour. There's enough choices on the wine list to make a match audit was a lovely way to while away a few hours over lunch.
