Flip's - Wanaque

Delicious food, a historic building, and stunning original tin ceilings make this place special. There's a pool table, plenty of parking, and a lively crowd. If you're in the area, this is definitely a place you should check out!

Instead of the steak, I opted for the mushroom and Swiss burger, substituting mozzarella for the Swiss cheese. The burger was quite good, but the fries were disappointing enough that I couldn't finish them, and I usually don't leave fries behind. The highlight of my visit was definitely the bartender. She was exceptional – always attentive, quickly refilling drinks, engaging with customers, and remembering names. Without a doubt, she made the experience worthwhile. The decor was nice, and there was a cute dog that, while slightly distracting during the meal, reminded me of my own pet. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. I can see why locals might enjoy this place and how regulars feel like family, as I got that sense as a newcomer. That said, I wouldn’t make a special trip just for this restaurant. Discovering that the steak was actually $8 more than advertised, along with the subpar fries, dampened the experience. While it wasn't a disappointing visit thanks to the fantastic bartender, I don't have a strong desire to return, despite my love for dive bars.

The staff here is incredibly friendly, and the beer is nice and cold. This motel, which I consider my home, is located on a quiet dead-end street in a small town. It's right next to a hotel known for its less-than-desirable reputation in Wanaque.

Came here for casual drinks on a Saturday and ended up ordering a few beers and a bar pie. It looks like a neighborhood bar where all types of people come to have a good time. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. It has a bit of a dive bar in a charming location feel. Parking was not difficult and best of all the prices are VERY fair. Definitely would return!

Bartenders are always attentive, kind and on point. Food is absolutely amazing and consistent! Flips is the places to go!!! Much better then the shitt*y Celtic knot.
