Aki Sushi Food Truck - Wanaka

This is one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve ever been to! As someone with celiac disease, I was thrilled to find that almost all of their sushi is gluten-free. They even have crispy chicken sushi and teriyaki chicken sushi—treats I haven't been able to enjoy in years because most places don't offer gluten-free options. The customer service was outstanding; a lovely lady was there to answer all our questions. They also have excellent vegetarian gluten-free choices! I highly, highly recommend this place.

I’m usually quite selective when it comes to sushi quality, having spent a month savoring it across Japan, but this place exceeded my expectations. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the rice was perfectly seasoned and had a great texture, and the seaweed salad was fantastic. The prices here are very reasonable too. We ended up going back for seconds! I recommend arriving early in the day to enjoy a wider selection, as we visited later and missed out on some items we would have liked to try. The owner is truly lovely as well.

I'm a big fan of sushis and i went to a lot of sushi places all around New Zealand. I can say that this one is amazing and one of the best so far. Super fresh ingredients guaranteed by the small quantity of sushi made. Good vegetarian options. The lady is really nice. A must go in a sunny day if you are in Wanaka !

The yummiest little sushi truck in New Zealand! So fresh and tasty! A wonderful owner who brings happiness to everyone! Can’t wait to try the next time I’m in Wanaka!
