Grand Island Mansion - Walnut

This is a fantastic spot to meet up with friends and family.

I had an amazing time at this restaurant! While it is a bit expensive, costing around $76 per person including tax and gratuity, it is definitely worth it for a special occasion. The food was outstanding and the desserts were incredible. The creme brulee is a must-try! The service was attentive without being overwhelming. I will definitely be returning in the future.

The food on the menu was fantastic. The strawberry scones were a standout. They offered a variety of dishes including salmon, chicken, and carved beef. The meal also included coffee, champagne/mimosas, and orange juice with servers prompt to bring refills. I may have indulged a bit too much at the dessert buffet with a chocolate covered strawberry, creme brulé, chocolate mousse, and a small scoop of peach cobbler. Afterward, I took a stroll around the grounds, though the drive along narrow levee roads to get there was a bit of a challenge. Make sure to factor in an extra 15-20 minutes to your travel time compared to what Google/Maps suggests.

Beautiful venue, excellent buffet brunch and the service was great! The only downside was the hostess sat us at a table for 4 and we were a party of 6 and had booked 2 months ahead. There were 2 tables available for 6 and we were eventually moved but we shouldn’t have had to plead our case.

The array of food was great! Little bit of everything to cover your brunch needs. We lucked out as the mansion was not holding an event and the entire place was available to walk through.
