Blackboard Cafe - WALLACE

I guess my party of 3 caught this place on a bad night. Waited over an hour for dinner. The steak salad was more Luke ground beef and the end of romaine lettuce, not a leaf in the bowl. I wouldn't go back. Perhaps lunch is better. Overpriced for the portions, a very slow kitchen and poor mediocre service.

Cute place but The kitchen is extremely SLOW. We walked in and no one had their food. That should have been a clue. Waited over an hour for a main course steak salad that was an embarrassment. You get nothing extra at this place. Steak salad was more like ground beef and the end of a romaine lettuce, no leaf. Friends food, small portion pasta and tasteless fish and chips. The waiter gave not only poor service but was quite full of himself. Too busy flirting with a couple of chics at the bar than to find our lost food. Save yourself the , try somewhere else.

The Blackboard Cafe is a gem of a place in downtown Wallace. Street parking was a plenty on a weekday afternoon and staff really friendly. Ordered the Sirloin steak sandwich with chips along with a seared Ahi tuna sandwich and soup. The sirloin is served grilled to perfection with a spread packed with deliciousness. The savory sweet combo will knock your socks off. The Ahi had just the right amount of lime, spice and a great amount tuna. After scarfing down the sandwiches, moved onto the traditional cream of mushroom soup. The soup did not disappoint boasting with several types of wild mushrooms and very savory. Tried a few local beers which boasted Huckleberry, found the High Elevation to be my favorite. Will have to keep this little mining town in my back pocket and take a drive out from Spokane to enjoy Blackboard Cafe again.

We had a great time. Every dish was 5 stars. Highly recommended! The filet mignon Alfredo Fettuccine was ??

Well, nice space, sandwiches were great but fries were cold, shake was small but fabulous just what I wanted, server's skirt was kinda on the short side for me, and wait time for food was Longer then I expected for sure. Price was comparable
