New Scarborough - Wakefield

The Scarborough pub is our neighborhood pub, and we hadn't been since before the pandemic. Today, we went for our daughter's 18th birthday. The landlady is welcoming and friendly, making us feel like old friends. The atmosphere was perfect, reminiscent of a traditional British pub that we sadly see fewer of nowadays. The prices were better than expected, and they even serve hot, freshly cooked food. The landlady kindly let us play 4 games of pool for free in honor of our daughter's birthday. Overall, it's a fantastic local pub and very clean. Thank you for making our daughter's 18th birthday a little bit more special. One more thing - the young man helping his mom set up the pub is impressive. He's hardworking and mature beyond his years. Keep it up, you're going places. As for parking, there isn't much free parking, but who drives to a pub and then drives home anyway? Only an idiot.

Extremely small portion sizes and nearly an hour wait for the food. Very overpriced for what you get on the “roast dinner”. £14 for 1 chicken breast, slither of mash, 1 carrot and an incinerated Yorkshire pudding. When complained, landlady was rude. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

We always have a fantastic time whenever we visit this restaurant. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and they serve a great pint! Thanks to Rach and the team. The cost per person is around £40-50. 5 out of 5 for the food, service, and atmosphere.

Unfortunately food is no longer served. But have been recently told it will be restarting shortly. Parking: Parking at front of pub is limited, but on street is no problem at all. Kid-friendliness: Very Children n LGBTVQ friendly. Staff are very helpful and always go the extra mile. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3
