Mumbai Boss - Wakefield

I am writing this review while sitting here finishing my drink. The food was mediocre at best. We had to wait half an hour to place our order, and then another 20 minutes for the poppadums to arrive. The starters and curry were lukewarm and not the greatest. It took a long time for our drinks to come as well. We noticed that we weren't the only ones experiencing these issues, as the tables around us were also complaining about the cold food and slow service. We will not be coming back to this restaurant.

Decided to try here again after hearing good reviews. Came about 4 years ago and the food and service was shocking must have been different owners) However glad we decided to try it again. We arrived about 7pm on a Friday night and hadn't booked a table and took our chances. A young gentleman welcomed us and took us to our table. We were then seated provided menus and after a few minutes our drinks orders were taken. The poppadom and pickle tray was lovely.. followed by the mains chicken madras and Tikka Massala both really tasty plenty of sauce and flavour in them. Sides of rice and the cheese and onion naan bread was phenomenal. Couple of drinks too. All in all reasonably priced and will return.

Excellent service and excellent food! Had a lovely meal with my family. The staff were extremely attentive and made the night very memorable!

Visited as part of a large group, 17 people. Service was excellent, food excellent and chef did a great job cooking a range of different curries and sundries. Very friendly staff, frequently asked if everything was ok. Will defiantly revisit

I’ve been several times in the last few weeks and on every occasion I have been impressed with the service, food and the pleasant atmosphere. I like what I like, so I always have chicken tikka Ceylon which is marvellous and I can fully recommend! Jay has served o every occasion and he is pleasant and top class. Do go and I am confident you will enjoy it!!
