Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant has definitely declined since my last visit. The menu seems to have less options than before, resulting in a limited and monotonous selection if you stay for multiple nights. However, the onion bhaji starter and hoisin duck pancakes were delicious, although it's a shame they're not available as main courses. The linguini pasta dish I tried was disappointing and bland, as was the hunter's chicken the following night. Overall, the quality of the meals here is not worth the high prices.
Ate while staying in the hotel and although the menu looked a little limited to start with, it turned out to be a pretty good meal. A colleague and I wandered in and sat at a 2 seater table only to be told we had to check in at the front desk before we could sit. Begrudgingly got up and went to the desk to then be shown back to exactly the same table !! Service was prompt and our duck with hoisin starter soon arrived, very tasty it was too so 2 empty plates pretty quickly. Mains arrived soon after, one steak and one pork. Both were hot, freshly cooked and very tasty. 2 more empty plates ! Only slight issue was the price of the beer and the fact that there is no real ale on offer, otherwise very good.
Weekday evening visit, the starter and main were both delicious and I'd definitely recommend the food. However it is let down severely by ignorant staff and poor service.
We had a lovely meal with a slight glitch, my fish wasn 't cooked. Waitress took it away offered me alternatives but I just wanted the same, food came back perfectly done and very delicious. we were offered complimentary desserts. A sometimes happens glitch beautifully dealt with and a lovely meal too!
We went for a special meal, no table cloths, no atmosphere, more for business meetings than couples, Steaks were awful.
