It's delicious. thicker suppen taste, but it's just beautiful. they will not feel that it is too hard. is simply beautiful and price are reasonable. owner welcomes with warm smiles. must try ramen if you're in wakayama. they can also buy house souvenir pack of their rams.

A very well-known Wakayama ramen shop which was once dubbed as one of the best in Japan! They only offer one type of 中華拉麵 with various sizes. Affordable price and excellent flavour. I can still remember how happy I was finishing the ramen!

Ide Shoten is the most famous ramen shop in Wakayama and it is even well-known across Japan. This little shop has been around since 1953, making only one type of ramen, “Ide style” Wakayama Ramen. Wakayama ramen has a base of soy sauce and tonkotsu pork bone with thin noodles. This restaurant does the soup a bit thicker than other places I’ve tried, so it has has a nice, deep, rich flavor. It’s no surprise there is a line even before the shop opens its doors. While they only make one ramen, they have varying options of larger portion of noodles and/or chashu, priced very reasonably from 700¥ to 900¥. I opted for their Special Large Soba at 900¥ with a flavored egg for 100¥ more. I was impressed with the great value and the nice, flavorfully savory taste. Before I left, I also picked up a Haya Sushi for 150¥ USD), which are commonly sold at all restaurants that serve Wakayama Ramen well, at least in the area). It’s a pretty typical Mackerel sushi, but I could see how it could go well to lighten up your tastebuds from the heavy ramen.

The ramen was delicious. There was a bit of a long que but it was worth the wait. There are English menus avaliable. You can look around the room and see all the celebrities who have ate here. It's a cozy atmosphere. There is a parking beside the restaurant.
