Timbuktu Nomadic Deli - Waiheke Island

I visited this charming cafe that offers a variety of vegan dishes. I tried three of their salads and I was extremely impressed.

This restaurant in Waiheke is definitely worth a visit. I ordered a couple of salads and a faux-chicken, sun dried tomato, and mushroom roll, all of which were delicious. The atmosphere inside was super chill. It was a refreshing change to have some vegetables instead of typical junk food vegan options.

We spent a week on Waiheke Island and made a point to dine at this restaurant several times. The vegan lasagna was excellent, and we couldn't get enough of their well-prepared daily salads, especially the potato salad. We also tried and loved the vegan mushroom arancini (twice) and the outstanding quinoa polenta bake. The desserts were also amazing! The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very friendly.

A really nice place, offering many vegan choices. I had the vegan ‘chicken’ pie, which was very tasty!

I would give this place 5 stars if it weren't for the restrictions on Non-Veg establishments. Okay so I had the chilli (which is incredible with cracker type things (that come with it . Then there were the various desserts.. The chilli is a must have and so is the award winning lemon meringue thingy. Soooo yummy and we'll worth the trip to Weihiki. Seriously! Go and eat all the vegan goodness that they have to offer! Oh and they have Hot Chocolate without the milk solids in the powder (rare find in Auckland .
