Swanson Station Cafe - Waiatarua

The food was substantial yet of a high quality. The staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Will definitely visit again. An added perk for Pokémon go players was it was right under a gym!

I visit this cafe a lot and have read all these reviews. They are all pretty accurate. Problem is when staff change, consistency and quality changes. In this area the staff need better training.I have always found the coffee and food of a very high standard. Derek would the best for service and quality. The very best drinks are when Derek makes them. If you want excellence, ask for Derek.

Derek makes the most AMAZING mochas. Staff are so friendly I love them all, they know me by name and really make an effort and give me cute little surprises. The food is 10/10 and their sweets in the cabinet are out of this world! Highly recommend:

I have always driven past this place and have not thought much of it. However I had a coupon here that I wanted to use and thought no better time like the present. Most of the dining was outside on the deck and all taken, so we managed get a little table inside. Asked for a recommendation while at the till as I couldn't decide. Was recommended the Brioche French Toast, which came with butterscotch sauce, banana, streaky bacon and whipped cream. Thoroughly filling. My sister had the Eggs Benedict with bacon. We were both impressed with the quality and taste of the food, and look forward to returning to try out other items on the menu.

Love this cafe. Nothing majorly special standard breakfast and brunch menu. Was the best eggs benny I've ever had and I've worked in many cafes.
