Lola's Lakehouse - Waconia

A great eatery on a lake. The place was packed on a Saturday night. Food was great, server was good, but the hostess was abrupt and unfriendly. Rhis place won't seat you unless you and a friend show up together, so you have to wait in the hallway or outside in the sun and heat until you can both walk in together. This prevents you from getting comfortable and ordering a beverage while you wait. Food was truly great and that was what saved this place from getting a lower review score.

This place was incredible the bartenders were awesome I believe that they were brothers and they had great personalities made us laugh! We sat down to eight the appetizer was absolutely delicious it was a tuna appetizer! We got served from very many staff members serving water taking our dishes away we felt like kings wonderful place beautiful scenery definitely will be going back there!

The worst meal I have EVER had. I was told the new chef was excellent. Sadly, my entire party of four people found our food bland and lacking any original touches. My brother and sister in law also got sick about 3-4 hours after dining. Honestly, we should have just gone to Applebees.

I was originally really excited for this new menu. Unfortunately it has become clear that it was just a cover up to serve food that is mediocre at best and to charge customers more. While the views are nice, the food is a huge disappointment. Everything lacks finesse and flavor and the Fish and pork chops were over cooked and needed salt. Also if you’re going to charge premium for a lobster roll how about not fill it with cheap shrimp. Also the serving dishes are questionable the portions are all off and plated terribly. The ceviche for example is just in an ugly bowl why not highlight it in a beautiful martini glass or something? The one highlight is the new wine list is great. Just wish the food was up to par. Instead it was a massive disappointment and I will never be returning.

The new menu lacks diversity and taste. Everything need more seasoning and the old many was much better!
