Maddy's Barbacoa 1 - Von Ormy

They have relocated from San Antonio to Von Ormy, but the food is just as delicious as ever. It's still worth the trip!

I just enjoyed three Barbacoa tacos, and they were delicious! It had been a while since I had barbacoa, ever since another restaurant in Helotes closed down!

It's unfortunate that there's no option to give this place zero stars. The menudo was watered down, likely because it was late in the morning and they were running low. The barbacoa had little flavor, the tamales seemed undercooked, and the cilantro was already wilted—just look at the pictures. We will definitely not be ordering from them again. Plus, the barbacoa was extremely greasy. I would recommend avoiding this place entirely.

Barbacoa was mediocre. We asked for all meat, but it looked mostly like regular. A bit pricey for the quality.

Ok...so this little hole in the wall is next to a pet grooming place. Barbacoa a 2. Tortillas a 2. Lacking flavor of authentic barbacoa to me. Tamales were silly and flavor off. They are skinnier than a winnie. You might like it if you try it...but we didn't. It's first and last visit here. If you sample this place, you'll know why this review.
