There are places that in tradition, in constancy become points of reference. In catering, Corte Petacchi has been able to keep faith with the spirit that created it and therefore becomes a point of reference, of tranquility, of certainties. a mix of local flavors and oriental scents. Almost impossible to tell but, natural, in tasting. Honest prices, excellent raw materials, discreet service.

Don't try this restaurant it's a shame; simple menu but high quality at very reasonable prices. All local proposals. Excellent wine.

Outside the tourist circuits you can try to find this pearl. Informal environment, rough but genuine service of great food at attractive prices ... complete dinner at no more than € 18/20 per person.

I joined TripAdvisor solely for the purpose of writing this review. For anybody staying in the Mantova/Lake Garda region I have to say this has been the best meal we have eaten of our entire stay and if visiting the area you should come and dine here. The place has a wonderful rustic feel and the food is beautiful. If you're looking for an authentic Italian meal, look no further. We had no idea what we ordered, but the starters of omelette and mixed smoked meats, followed by a sizzling platter of steak and a white chocolate mouse was divine. The food was incredible, the staff so friendly and accommodating despite our miserable attempts at speaking Italian, and the whole atmosphere was magical. Being the only English speaking people there spoke volumes for the quality and authenticity of the place, and everyone, staff and other guests included, were incredibly welcoming. Plus, for 3 delicious courses, half a litre of wine and 2 pints of beer, the whole meal came to only €50. Amazing value; we couldn't believe the bill when it came and our attempt at a tip to balance the experience with what we had expected to pay, was generously refused. Overall we couldn't recommend this place enough. Go, travel as far as you have to. You won't be disappointed!
