A 60 year old legacy. It's been now run by the third generation of the Borkars. It's a humble place and worth for every penny paid. Their hospitality was so great that even after the lunch hours were over they agreed to serve us the thali, which is rare in Goa. I would say that it's also a well managed place. Coming to the food, we had ordered a Fish Thalis. The thali had fish curry, one fry fish (big chunk), ambotik, beans veggie, rice, pickle, and kokum juice. The fish curry was a showstopper. It had an amazing and authentic Goan taste to it. The texture itself gives an hint that an amazing experience is awaited when it would reach your tongue . The fish curry was made with a mix of shrimps and fish, which is rare and a taste enhancer and also an old grandma style genuine recipe. The fish was fried to perfection as it was total Crips from outside and soft and flavourful from inside. The ambotik was very tasty as it was just not tang but also had a mix of coconut paste in it. The bean veggie was a simple local style simple mix of shredded coconut and turmeric, but scrumptious to the palette. The entire experience was great. The service was very lovely and was with a big welcoming heart. The glasses and plates were clean (even though the place looks old and shady). Will surely visit this place again when in Goa. Enjoyed all of it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
