Mamma Isa - Viseu

We are staying at the nearby Pousada, and whilst the hotel is great, the evening meal offering isn't our bag. So the nearest restaurant happens to be an Italian- our favourite cuisine We were welcomed and shown to a table promptly, even on this busy Saturday night. The serving staff of Ana Chris looked after us really well, and we received a short lesson in Portuguese from Ana. Her personality shone through, and we appreciate the effort she put in to understand our requests. We left having enjoyed superb food (2× lasagne, so thank you, chef), lovely house reserve red wine, and a shared Pana Cotta. It was a great experience, recommended without any hesitation.

Um bom restaurante italiano. Gostamos das pizzas e das massas. Não apreciamos muito a mousse de chocolate.

Llegamos un poco antes de cerrar la cocina, pero nos informaron perfectamente y pudimos comer unos platos de pasta muy ricos. Buena experiencia.

Good food ....super service with a smile. We really enjoyed the food. But the best was the wine suggested by the wonderful staff...sure we will return when we are in Portugal.
