Mary's Oriental - Virginia Beach

Stopped in for lunch, and we were very surprised. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich with french fries and I had the fried chicken tenders wrap with onion rings. Everything was cooked great, and the fried foods were not greasy. Our server, Speyncer, was on top of everything. Great place to eat!

My family and I came here twice on our last vacation, we had been here once a couple years back and remembered it being really good. We had a short wait each time because that place gets busy! It's worth the wait as the food is very good, like southern homestyle cooking. The chipped beef gravy was awesome, as was the philly chicken sub. Fried green tomatoes were tasty also. The staff there are really nice and work hard. We will come here for breakfast whenever we visit VA beach.

Staying in Virginia Beach and went here for breakfast. We certainly were glad that we did. Great food and service. Will go back there again when in the area.

This is an average homestyle diner. My only experience was during breakfast. The omelette and home fries were good, not exceptional reminded me of a national chain 's omelette. What stood out was the extremely poor service. The server repeatedly asked me to be quick because the restaurant was busy. No coffee refills, no jelly/jam for the biscuit she brought my plate then avoided the table. Not recommended.

Friday August 26th. 30-45 minute wait to be seated when over half the tables and booths were empty. 2 young guys working the restaurant, no staff on duty was their excuse. Mary's has been plagued with staff issues before and closed for the day or week because of it. Should not have been open if they can't properly staff the restaurant. All they did was create dissatisfied and impatient customers
