Golden Corral Buffet Grill

Newly renovated selection of great entres makes this location the best GC in the area. Still about the best value for an all you can eat place, senior dinner drink included is now $11.50

Prices, a but high, but remodeling was very nice and clean. Our server was amazing, food was good this time!

Update review for Dec. 2023. Their star is dropped from 4 stars to 3 stars. I was disappointed. I had a surgery done and could not eat more than 4 oz asked about just making me a to go dinner paying for it instead of full pice for the buffet. The cashier said sure. The mgr came saw I had a to go plate took it saying we could not pretty a to go meal , sit at table with my husband kids to eat while they ate. So I just sat there waiting for the family to eat then went to get to go plate to take with me. I was shocked when the price for 1.6 pounds of food was a little over $21. They charge over $10 per pound for to go plates. Golden Corral is not at all accommodating for people with medical restrictions like my doctor told us they woukd be. Now I have to update my surgical hospital to remove Golden Corral from their list of approved restaurants that they give patients after surgery. the service still sucked. Our waitress was even leaving dirty dishes to pile up on tables in our section so she wouldn't get more customers. I used to train servers for buffet restaurants my people loved getting customers because that meant more tip opportunities. We've visited this location a few times since moving to Virginia Beach. Our kids love it here. I would too if Virginia Golden Corral could learn from the Texas locations by learning how to put out good white country gravy. They only have brown darker brown in this part of Virginia. White gravy goes best with everything. I would be interested in visiting more if they did. I have to go to ihop to get white country gravy in Eastern Virginia, lol. Last time I went, every time the server would come by not once did she ask if we needed a drink regil even though the glasses were empty. I tip based on my glass level because I use to work in buffet restaurants years ago no matter how busy I got, I always checked on my customer's drinks. But overall, service is usually good depending on the server you get the time you go. Best time between 2pm 4pm. Not as busy during that time frame so the server is able to help you out more. Less time sitting with an empty glass. I hate to always have to look for the server for a refill of tea. js
