El Taco Loco - Virginia Beach

I ordered the chicken nachos supreme, but the online menu didn't specify what toppings were included. When I got home, I found carrots and potatoes on my nachos—so unappetizing! There were no lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole, or sour cream included either. This was far from what I expected from a "supreme" order. Honestly, everything I've tried from this place has been disappointing. If you're looking for good Mexican food, I recommend going to Plaza instead. They may have decent margaritas, but I suggest skipping the food here.

We really enjoyed Taco Loco for its Margaritas and friendly staff, but our last visit was disappointing due to a price increase across the board. It was already on the pricier side for a Mexican restaurant, and with more affordable and better alternatives nearby, we likely won't be returning.

Not sure what happened!!! Been going here for a while and never had an issue. Today ordered 6 tacos and 2 nachos. First off... How is that $70. Second, the steak tacos had nothing on them but steak which was rubber. Literally took a bite and spit it in the trash. The chicken tacos were decent at best. Rubbery but edible. They at least had lettuce and tomatoes, couldn't find any cheese. The nachos were topped with chicken and chorizo and a little cheese sauce. Nothing else, just that. The chicken was tough and dry. Again, this is not my first time here. Must be new management or maybe the cook forgot how to make food. Not sure. Either way, crossing this place off my list. Taco bell would be better!

Order tacos de asada pay $17 disgusting, it doesn’t bring rice and beans.I don’t recommend it

El Taco Loco used to be a fantastic restaurant…unfortunately, the last two times I’ve been there it has been pretty bad. Both times, my family went early in the evening so the restaurant was not busy at all, but it took forever to get our food. Additionally, the food came out at different times. The first time it was an order of Chile Rellenos that took almost 15 minutes longer than any of the other food to come out of the kitchen. This time it was my son’s chicken quesadilla kids meal. To make matters worse, the chicken quesadilla didn’t have any cheese in it, but was filled with what resembled chicken pot pie filling; it was so soupy that the tortilla fell apart. We pointed out the error and they brought out a cheese quesadilla which looked like a block of American cheese halfway melted between a tortilla.I ordered Antonio’s tacos which were bad! The steak was cooked way past well done and was rubbery; there was absolutely no flavor to the steak at all. My wife ordered the crab cake chimichangas and said it was saltier than sea water; she could only eat half of it.My family used to love this place because their menu is different than your average Mexican restaurant…unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
