Not a vegan restaurant but they were more than happy to design a vegan meal especially for us. The menu is seasonal and there is always a vegetarian option on the menu but they design the vegan option especially. They ask that you book in advance though to give them some time to come up with something special. We had seared asparagus to start with preserved lemon and dukkah. Main was beetroot quinoa galettes with Wild rice, sauteed greens and a sesame and lime dressing. Dessert was the creamiest chia and coconut pudding with a strawberry compote. The whole thing was outstanding from start to finish and the service equally so. I would highly recommend it for anyone travelling near the area. Definitely worth the trip!!
The restaurant is in a stone farmhouse surrounded by vineyards. It is unusual for the region in that there is always a vegetarian starter and main course on offer. This time I had roast cauliflower and lentils. It was delicious, as was the dessert. My vegetarian daughter hates cauliflower and the chef put together a plate of other vegetables for her. Book in advance, it gets full, specially in summer, when you can eat outside.
The Sunday lunch was a fixed menu and just perfect in every way. Quality produced and cooked local food. Wide selection of reasonably priced wines to go along with the Exceptional quality and value menu. Well done Chas Caroline
Just perfect, an explosion of flavor. I think it's the first time I put five*. I can't wait to come back.
