Sandy's Fish And Chips - VINEYARD HAVEN

Fish and chips were ok. Chunks of fish not filets. They also left on the skin and a little over cooked. Not so bad that I didn't finish it, but I would not go back again. Much better fish and chips at the little place across from where I live. Did have great entertainment though watching people from different states try to navigate the parking lot while sitting at the table eating. It is just a normal parking lot so not sure what their issue was.

My mom and I went here for dinner one night on the Vineyard before heading to Lambert's Cove for the sunset. We both ordered the grilled swordfish sandwiches and they were good. I thought the fish tasted fresh but the sauce on the sandwich or grease while the sandwich was cooking made the whole thing very soggy within 10 minutes. I personally prefer the simple fish sandwiches in Menemsha, but for the sake of convenience, this was a good option which is why I am giving it 4 stars. I would definitely try it again if I were on the island and maybe something else! It was very busy and popular.

This is my new go to fish spot since net result changed hands. Got flounder and chips/fries. Very workmanlike. Oil was hot, flounder and fries were good and crispy. Package Tartar sauce was merely ok. Everything else worth the trip.

Disappointed. This site has a 5 star rating. I picked up dinners for 6. Fish&Chips Fried Clams Onion Rings Fried Scallops. No question that the seafood was fresh! It was the grease. The oil needs to be changed in the fryolators. The oil always needs to be fresh to obtain the best fried food!!!

Tour guide mentioned that this place had the best fish and ships on the island. Located away from the hustle and bustle of tourist heavy areas, he suggested this was where the locals ate. Service was quick, friendly. Ordered over $200 worth of food for a group of 10. It wasn't the best fish and chips we had on the island but it was certainly tasty. Lobster rolls were also good but not the best we've ever had. There was no phone number easily available to call ahead so the menu as of June 2022 is now on Yelp.
