Bidrage med feedbackWith seating on the square of the city and in a large, shaded courtyard on the back 'le patio' and a large typical French bar, which doubles as books, this site serves many functions. I enjoyed an early morning coffee here, but what really was out was the meal. both of us ate in the courtyard away from the lively and hot place, and both of us really enjoyed each other. the local wine at 6 euro pitched for a half liter is a bargain and washes the excellent eating very nice. one evening we went for the thun fish steak and souris d 'agneau lamb, both were tender and tasty. yesterday we went for her Italian options: my wife had a lasagne, which was the biggest she had ever seen, served for one, and I had a very good pizza. service is fast and friendly. children and dogs are welcome and the overall experience is exactly what they would wish from a relaxed, informal but good French village restaurant.
That is one of many restaurants on the same place. we had the chèvre salate, lamb and gnocchi. all were wonderfully flavored and, like many dishes in the region, come as large portions also according to American standards). a bottle of the local cotes du...Rhône supplements with lamb perfect.
We had the menu of the day and it was excellent, bit at the top end regarding cost, very welcoming staff.
My friend and I had lunch my fish salad was delicious and beautiful presentation. what was supposed to be hot and the price appropriate for large full-grind salad. beautiful quiet atmosphere, although several restaurants are sohn this small piazza. local as well as tourist. see to eat here. English spoken by kind helpful waiting staff
The pizza that my wife ordered was great, but I decided to get adventurous and ordered the Andouilllette sausage. It was not at all like that I have had here in the US. My mistake, really, and I can 't say that it was bad, but...it was truly sausage in the traditional sense, with rather too easily identifiable 'parts '. I don 't want to imply that they made bad sausage, just that I had no idea what I was getting myself into! We intially sat in the outdoor square, but we were ushered back to a courtyard, which was, in fact, a little bit seedy. We probably should have just thanked them and left at that point, but being hungry, we sat. The ground in the courtyard was pebblestone, and one of the employees or owners children was running around and (not intentionally, and I think unbeknownst to him) kicking up stones towards us. As I said, good pizza, though I cannot recommend the Andouillette sausage, nor the ambience within the courtyard. The area out in front, on the coener of the plaza, was much more appealing.
