Park Inn by Radisson Grand Stade Lille

Great hotel as so close to the Arena for attending concerts etc. but the hotel itself is more for business trips perhaps rather than holidays. However, still enjoyed my stay, and safe parking beside hotel in underground multi storey type block. Only a small criticism at breakfast butters soggy which was a shame as would be easy 'to keep on ice ' ! Fruit juices too, were warm rather than chilled. No meals served in evenings Thursdays to Sundays which seemed odd, so had to eat elsewhere! So their loss! Excellent pub/eating house few doors away who were most welcoming, so not a problem.

For 12 euro overnight in the parking is massively overpriced. But thats how it is. A new fresh hotel, a 10 minute ride from Lille center. No real bar area except for 6 seats, so if you re in for a late night drink...its a bit on the midget size. Same with the breakfast area. Like 30 seats indoors have to accomodate 8 floors of guestrooms? Impossible!

The hotel is clean and modern and tastefully decorated. The staff are friendly and helpfull. Without fault. I had lunch in the restaurant, and was blown away. I had the beef fillet with pan fried fois gras, and truffle mash. It was a delight. First time having fois gras hot too! The restaurant is really great value for money.

On the negative side the hotel is approx 15 minute drive from the city centre. On the positive side. The reception staff and duty mangr were excellent. The rooms in this very new hotel were well appointed and had most things included. UK tv. Free safe. Aircon/heating etc as standard. Evening meals were weekdays only but there were numerous eateries close by. Breakfast although booked as continental also included hot english type food. The breakfast was buffet style and very good and filling. The hotel is adjacent to the new football stadium complex where secure parking was available for my coach. All in all a very pleasant stay. You should however check 1st if a football fixture is on during your stay as this might be a busy time. Well done to all staff.
