Bidrage med feedbackThat was by far our worst food experience ever and I don't say that easily! we visited the pig for the first time on Sunday, 30 August 2009 at 1:00 o'clock. I ordered a steak and was told after our order was filed that they were from steaks. my man ordered the fried chicken and we were told a little later that they were also removed from it. he changed his order and was told that he could not have yams because I had the last swallow yams. I ended up with the black roast, which was almost gray in the color and was extremely hard. my field
I drive 200 miles to eat here......it is great. New building same great food.....always order the special.....ALWAYS
It seems like Jana Barbay from McDonald's may have overindulged. However, Peig Stand consistently serves the best Cajun food around. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the prices are reasonable. Give it a try; you'll surely enjoy the experience!
I'm not sure what happened during Jana Barbay's visit, but I believe there was a valid reason, such as equipment issues or supply problems. This restaurant has been around for at least as long as my father and has consistently served delicious local cuisine. It's not a five-star gourmet French restaurant, and I don't think it should be held to that standard. It’s a Cajun diner, and that's what patrons should expect. Yes, the daily special should shine because that's what makes it special. They also offer local favorites like pork rinds, tasso, boudin, ponce, and dirty rice (reis dressing). They even ship these items overnight across the country packed in dry ice, which is worth it if you're looking for authentic Cajun food.
I don't visit this place often, but when I do, I always enjoy the super pulled pork at the black stand. It's simply fantastic!
