Milky Way Ice Cream Mini Golf - Villas

The Milky Way is a great throwback type of place that lets you take a step back and enjoy a few of the simple things-ice cream miniature golf. In an area where ice cream shops are close enough that you can buy a cone at one and walk to the next shop for another cone before your first cone melts-the Milky Way really stands out. The mini golf isn't the biggest, latest or greatest. But none of that matters because it truly is fun. Will a group of extra competitive adults enjoy it? Maybe, maybe not. Most likely they will find the course small and a bit hokey. But that's not who the Milky Way is for. Now if you have a family with a few small children? Totally different scenario. The kids will love the the course. And, with the promise of some great ice cream at the end of the game, this is the perfect little place to go for a laid back night.

Hold on a second—ice cream treats and classic mini golf? That's fantastic! If you're in Cape May, North Cape May, or the Villas, Milky Way is the perfect spot for a fun family outing. The ice cream is delicious and sourced from a local, independent shop, unlike the chains like Ben & Jerry's and Dairy Queen found in Cape May itself. And let's talk about the mini golf! The course may be a bit quirky and somewhat outdated, but it's well-maintained and a blast to play. Plus, there's a little added entertainment for those curious about the culinary scene: you can peek into the kitchen of the Fish Fancy restaurant next door. (Just a tip: the second part of its name isn't quite accurate.) One word of caution: the parking lot at Milky Way is a bit cramped, but aside from that, everything here is exceptional!

This is a one stop shop for pretty much everything ice cream, they really have it all. Personal favorites are the gelatis, floats, and huge sundaes. The staff are always very kind and will happily answer any questions you may have about their extensive ice cream menu. It really is the best ice cream around. Added bonus: they have a miniature golf course open during the summer so you can make a fun little trip out of your ice cream run!

This is, without a doubt, the best ice cream in Cape May. The staff is incredibly friendly and will happily accommodate any requests (like extra sprinkles!). I've never seen a line longer than five people, which is a pleasant change compared to many other places in Cape May, like the Purple House and Dry Dock. They offer a great variety of shakes and sundaes, so you can find just about anything you're craving. Plus, there’s a small golf course in the back. The only downside is that parking can be limited.

I absolutely love this place! I've been coming here since I was a kid in the '80s, and it brings back such wonderful memories. Now, I bring my kids here, and they enjoy it just as much. The food is simple but delicious.
