Bidrage med feedbackI have attempted to eat here three times since this place opened a few years ago. I wanted to support the new owners after they spent a lot of money gutting and renovating the restaurant. Attempt #1: Waited an hour and a half for my food. Ordered a sandwich on a croissant per the menu description and it arrived on plain white sandwich bread. Attempt #2: As this place often hosts wedding receptions, we called ahead and asked if they were open to the public. They said yes. We drove out there and discovered there was absolutely no place to park due to a wedding reception. The bar was open to the public, but without parking, eating there was impossible. I felt misled by the person who had answered the phone. Attempt #3: Called ahead and specifically asked if there was a wedding reception going on. Was told no. Drove out there. Walked in the front door and was shocked by what we saw: 1. Flies swarming everywhere. 2. No customers, hostess or wait staff in sight. All tables and chairs were stacked against the wall, and debris was in the middle of the floor where someone had started to sweep and stopped. We were stumped because it looked abandoned. We walked through the dining room to what we knew to be the bar. They were serving in the bar. We were given menus, and probably half the items on the menu were crossed out with marker. It was basically burgers and appetizers left. Again, the person who had answered the phone hadn't elaborated on the situation. The waitstaff in the bar told us they were short-staffed, but clearly something else is going on here.
After bad service and mediocre food a year ago, we decided to try again. we stood waiting to be seated for over 5 minutes, and no one even talked to us. Several waitresses saw us, looked over at us, and continued to do nothing, so we went somewhere else. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but I think we have tried North Shore for the last time.
We had an absolutely great experience working with Cynthia at the Northshore for our rehearsal supper and wedding over Memorial Day weekend. The service was great, the food was great, and the venue was just perfect for an outdoor wedding and indoor reception and the wedding turned out beautiful. Cynthia was easy to work with and she definitely worked very hard to make sure our day was perfect as can be- the great work of all the staff there was so appreciated and deserves to
Was excited to return to North Shore tonight for dinner. Last two times we tried to go they were closed. Service was slow but server was friendly. Food was just not good. Salmon salad was a poor representation of what has previously been a menu favorite. Garlic mashed potatoes were not edible due to unusual flavor and glue-like texture. Shrimp Poor Boy was pitiful. 5 small overcooked shrimp and a mysterious tasting tartar sauce were so disappointing. Won’t be going back again ‘til we hear the food has improved.
The appetizers were great. Dessert was good entrees we're not. Service was good
