Vintij At Hampton Inn And Suites Lake Placid

We spent a couple of days here and, after staying at another Hampton, this place was a pleasant surprise. The great room was spacious, and everything was impeccably clean. They always had fresh water available, and they even offered this Hi-C (Tang) drink in the lobby, which was fantastic! The lemon-lime flavor was also very tasty. The pool was a decent size, and the water was pleasantly warm. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

Our ground-floor room was incredibly spacious, featuring a lovely view and a quaint outdoor patio. Breakfast was impressive, with a wide variety of options including different types of yogurt, fresh fruit, berries, waffles, oatmeal, egg omelets, sausage, hard-boiled eggs, cereals, and even almond milk! They even had a sign for notifying them of any dietary restrictions or needs. The hotel was impeccably clean and felt luxurious. It’s within walking distance of numerous restaurants, bars, and local attractions.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the handling of our recent stay at Hampton Inn and Hilton in Lake Placid. Our meticulously planned, once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness the solar eclipse in totality was utterly ruined by the lack of care from both establishments. We had booked our stay using our hard-earned free nights, but our reservation was inexplicably canceled without our consent by someone named "Happiness." Despite our attempts to rectify the situation, our reservation was not reinstated as it should have been, and we were presented with a staggering charge of over $600 for a single night stay—essentially five times the normal rate. The only communication we received regarding our reservation was a voicemail from the manager of Hampton Inn in Lake Placid, which simply informed us that he had a room available for one night. However, when we called back, we learned that this room would cost us more than we could have anticipated, with no option to use our points. This entire scenario felt heartless and unscrupulous, especially considering the significance of the occasion. Not only did we lose our accommodation, but we also lost over $1,000 in preparation costs for this event, including a specialized time-lapse telescope designed for viewing the eclipse. All our efforts have led to nothing but disappointment, as our telescope now sits unused, and our planned shirts and souvenirs are now just a waste. In discussions with another Hilton manager located along the eclipse path, it became clear that the Lake Placid Hampton Inn had extra rooms available. This manager expressed confusion as to why our family wasn't accommodated, highlighting the negligence of the Lake Placid team. Our experience has left a lasting mark, turning what should have been a joyful occasion into a painful memory. It is now July 2024, and my feelings of disappointment remain. I urge potential guests to proceed with caution when booking significant stays with Hilton and Hampton Inn. It's essential for hotels to be accountable, reliable, and trustworthy—qualities that were glaringly absent in this situation. Even after admitting fault, Hilton’s failure to remedy our reservation speaks volumes about their customer service.

October 2023 This is the perfect location in Lake Placid. The view from our room on the first floor and also the great room is wonderful. The breakfast is very nice and the service is great. The great room includes a bar with a nice beer list on tap. Across the street is the Lake Placid Pub Brewery. A nice place for beer and food. Try it, you'll like it.

Wonderful Location, View of Mirror Lake Our Room was clean as were public areas Large Hot Hot Tub and Warm Pool , Large soft towels Fire Pit Outside with view of the lake , Lots Of Chairs The Common Area Breakfast Bar Area is large and Spectacular View. Parking is well lit and managed. Breakfast is Typical Hampton Inn , Nothing Special, Bring Your own Real maple syrup makes the waffles taste Great
