Gemelli Fine Foods - Village of Babylon

I absolutely love Gemelli, especially their catering services. They are our top choice for heroes and salads. Their fresh-sliced turkey is incredibly tasty. The customer service is excellent as well! We always receive compliments on our orders!

The experience we had at Gemelli's last week was truly appalling! After the passing of our father, we, longtime customers of Gemelli's, approached them to cater his Celebration of Life. We discussed the menu and options that would suit our family. Less than an hour later, we returned to finalize the order. While we were in the process of placing our order, my brother tried to enter the restaurant. Mr. Gemelli was locking the door five minutes before closing and rudely told my brother he couldn’t come in. My brother explained he was with the group making the large order, but Mr. Gemelli dismissed him and said he would be kicking us out as well. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement—Gemelli's will never see another penny from us. For a better experience, head across the street to Mulberry Street. They were kind and did an excellent job.

I used to visit this restaurant regularly in the past, and it was fantastic. Unfortunately, it has just continued to decline. Each time we've tried to eat here lately, the chicken has been so tough that we literally couldn't chew it. Sadly, I won't be returning.

Every dish at the deli tastes identical. Whether you choose the pasta salad, quinoa, couscous, or orzo salads, they all have the same flavor profile. It's just the same chopped onion, a few chickpeas, diced peppers, and a drizzle of olive oil. It's honestly disappointing. The quality used to be excellent, but it has declined drastically. I'm not sure what happened in the kitchen, but the food is terrible now. I might as well make my own meals. It's just not worth it.

Everything is great. While there, just seeing all the food they offer, you know your in a place with high standards. All fresh, and VERY clean. Try it. They're successful for so long for a reason. See for yourself.
