Bidrage med feedbackAte here twice this week! Came for lunch and enjoyed the chicken salad sandwich Nice pieces of chicken, not too much mayo. Bread was not overly buttered. Hubby liked his fried green tomato BLT. Planning to try catfish tonight, but they were sold out. Not disappointed with chicken tenders and fries though. Fries were crisp outside and tender inside. Three chicken tenders was more than a full chicken breast. So juicy, didn't need dipping sauce. Loved the BBQ egg rolls with spicy ranch.
Nice little place with outdoor and indoor seating. The outdoor area was so very nice to intrigue and entertain guests. The fried green tomatoes were spectacular but needed a little seasoning. Overall nice experience and the food came out in a timely manner.
Wow. If you travel down I-20, you want to make a little effort to get to Evans BBQ Company. You will not regret your decision. Experience begins with the picturesque surroundings in a shaded courtyard. Colorful furnishings lived the area. Adored by a smiling staff, improve the experience as they are on point of general service to knowledge of the menu and wonderful suggestions. Started with BBQ egg rolls. On the outside sharp, juicy tasteful BBQ pig on the inside. Wings were the choice for the three children. Lemon Pepper, BBQ and Mild were the three choices. They are smoked and fried. What a combination! Mild Buffalo was my favorite, but would do all three again. A friend and I shared the boss hog and chicken fingers. You wonder why chicken fingers? Because they are large pieces of chicken, hand-baked, served delicious. Look and tasting, it is obvious that a work of love goes into the court. Boss Hog was good. A big sandwich with a little of everything. Don't get me wrong, it's a great way to get the full experience, but the wings were the winner today! Definitely meet this place when you're close. Make sure to drink enough of their delicious sweet tea so you don't sleep on the way home.
I'm not usually a fan of egg rolls, but the remoulade that accompanied them made the somewhat unusual wrapper work. The sides were also fantastic. The greens were seasoned just right without being overly salty, and the Brunswick stew was delicious, without being overly sweet like some BBQ sauces. Personally, I don’t prefer sweet sauces, but theirs is quite enjoyable. I think their spicy sauce is even better, so I highly recommend giving this place a try. When we return, I plan to get the smoked wings and peach cherry dish. Update: Yes, the service was fantastic. I can't recall the name of the young lady who served us, but she and the rest of the staff clearly care about the food and the overall experience – I was very impressed. When people are passionate about their jobs, it really reflects in the quality of the entire restaurant.
The fried green tomatoes were amazing, and the mac and cheese was rich and delicious! This restaurant has a unique and fun atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed and satisfied!
