Beautiful location within the Hotel Residence Villa Bartolomea. The Embassy with the Brothers Tamani, the Chef Romano and Maître Carlo, from Quistello (MN) to Villa Bartolomea...a certainty! Excellent welcome. The interior of the restaurant is elegant, refined and attention to detail. Perfect put en place. Friendly and prepared staff. The open kitchen does not fear eyes in the preparation of the dishes. Menu with selected raw materials and excellent quality. The presentation of the dishes is impeccable. Report “please of taste” and correct price. Absolutely to try!

Invited by friends who had lunched several times in this historic restaurant, during the return trip we shared some considerations, all in the sign of a deep satisfaction if not even fun. The dishes proposed are all of the tradition and little space is granted to experimentation. De gustobus, but what is undeniable in the kitchen of Romano Tamani is the mastery in balancing the ingredients of a dish, made all perceived without a taste prevails on the other. In this way everything we ordered ( Rabbit lobster with green butterflies, real German tagliatelle, pumpkin tortelli, the iconic Pharaoh of the Vicariate with orange and grapes pomegranate, a very soft apricot charlotte) is extremely enjoyable from the beginning to the grand finale: a voluptuous warm mosquito and marsala where to drown triumphantly sbrisolona, tart and roasted cake. The brother Carlo, whose empathy with the customer has no equal, manages the elegant hall (tape, mirrors, ceramics, cutlery and tablecloth of great value) in the name of an equal balance, supported by the sympathic and efficient Gioia and Stefano. Whether it’s a company of old friends ready to give a breath away to the good mood, where Carlo’s estro is even a goliardic in improvising an exhilarating bandistic performance with cloche, or that you want a reserved and relaxed atmosphere (and here the service is composed and friendly but never sliced), there is always the utmost attention for the client who is the real ruler of this extraordinary restaurant. The complicity never becomes intrusive, the professionalism always associates itself with a smart background, almost to take the distance from the self-celebrative intent that today distinguish the emerging of high-end catering. Both on all witnesses the rite of the aspersion of the precious carpets with the residues of the wine (regorously white, but Gioia does not exclude that even red could lend itself to the necessity in conditions of particular exuberance), the only transversal element and refractory to every difference of age, sex, cetus and personal tastes of the customers. After an excellent sorbetto at the Lambrusco, at the end of lunch it was possible, because at the Embassy you do not know what is the rush, entertain with the two owners for a long as pleasant chat made especially of memories and anecdotes of a career more than forty years and that is still far from closing. With the desire to return again, we wish the Tamani brothers and their project at Villa Bartolomea every success.

Although the Embassy has changed residence, the real, is always where the Tamani brothers are. When you are at Romano and Francesco it is always a house of friends. The reception is always warm, the location is always taken care of in detail and what about the kitchen? Plates that look like works of art and divine flavors.... Every time you go think already when you can come back.
