Bidrage med feedbackWe had a wonderful dinner at this place! with very nice people, good food, very good wine and music! and even the coffee was the best!
The food was delicious. the roasted potatoes are delicious! we have paid for allyucaneat chivito, that was not cheap (150 ars) and it was delicious first. after the second tablet, the waitress asks us if we wanted more (we were a group of 4). We wanted more of course! after this tablet, the quality of the cuts began to fall, and the waitress did not come back to ask if we wanted to eat more. also the decoration was not very friendly. I would get rid of all these ugly pelvic decorations
Good food and interesting interieur. prices are reasonable and services ok. when we get back to the opposite, we'll be back in.
Now that there were so many exciting reviews of this restaurant, it could not be bad, could it? Yes, that can it! surely the restaurant looks beautiful from the outside and inside (ok, maybe they do not expect too much from the toilet). once sitting, we could hear people. English or German at neighboring tables in any case, it seems a place where natives do not go. in comparison to the other restaurants that we visited during our 2 weeks stay in Argentinia (in which was the resto la pink in chilecito, which was very nice) this restaurant offered the worst food, even at an excessive price. here is my advice if they really go there: don't order the chivitos serve unless they are ready to get 3 pieces of goat bones with pure pieces of meat on it.
We passed by the La Palmera on our day of arrival in Villa Union. Located almost outside of V.U., at an intersection, it didn't exactly make a good impression, more reminding of a local bar than anything else. On the following day, however, our tour...guide at Tamplaya recommended this place for its asado, chivito, and other meat dishes, available as portiones or libre (allyoucan eat). So, we went there and Sergio was so right. The place is a bit rustic in its furniture, with wooden tables, red soil floor, and furs on the wall. It is all consistent so the overall impression is nice. We ordered asado libre and chivito portion, a mixed salad, and a bottle of Malbec, basic level. The chivito had a super crispy skin, delicious. And the meat was tender and tasty. The asado was of similar quality and we didn't manage to explore how far libre goes, as we had to give up after the 2nd round. The salad was the usual Argentinian mix and quite of a size ensure to order without onion if you can't handle the intensity! As dessert, we took the flan, just perfectly made, really nice to round up the dinner. And the Malbec, even though the lowest level on the menu and the bottle priced at 40Arg$, made a very good companion for the meat and the flan. In total, we paid 170 pesos, for a full dinner for two. I definitely recommend the place for anyone staying in V.U. Re the location, depending where you stay at, you might want to arrange for a transport if you plan to drink a bit more than just a glass or two and don't want to drive yoursel afterwards.
