Juanita Gastrobar - Vigo

A lovely understated restaurant with really friendly staff and wonderfully fresh dishes. I had the ensalada caprese and my husband had the ensalada salmon both dishes were served in nice time and beautifully presented Top marks we would definitely return if we weren’t leaving Vigo tomorrow

We arrived at this place after searching for tapas bars in the neighborhood. Since all the best tapas bars were full we decided to try Juanita based on the positive Trip Advisor reviews. We were not disappointed. Our orders came fast (the restaurant was almost full) and our dishes were well-presented and tasty. I had the rice with asparagus and shrimps. It was very good although it came with only four medium shrimps. Our server recommended a white wine which was not expensive and went perfectly with the rice. We recommend Juanita for those in the area looking for a good affordable place to have dinner.

Usually I have two problems when travelling to Vigo. 1 no vegetarian dishes at restaurants 2 no eglish menu or english speaking staff. This place really surprised me there was an english menu and waiter knew the language too! There was few completly vegetarian dishes to pick from. The interior design is very nice, location is also very good.

Sitio muy agradable en el casco vello. Cocina mezcla de tradicional y oriental. Todo muy rico. El servicio muy agradable. PERO, ha bajado mi puntuación porque han quitado lo mejor que tenían, que eran sus patitas fritas. Antes cuando alguien me preguntaba, recomendaba este sitio por sus MARAVILLOSAS patatas fritas, eran para mí, de lo mejorcito que he probado. De hecho ayer fuimos con la ilusión de comerlas pero... las hacen como en todos los sitios. Ricas si, pero ya no son el rasgo diferencial del restaurante. Ahora para mí sigue siendo un buen sitio, pero como muchos que hay en esta ciudad. Antes sus patatas eran insuperables, ahora son normales. Han perdido todo su encanto. Ya no recomendaré este sitio con tanta ilusión como antes. Espero que la dirección tome nota, pues me consta que no soy la única cliente que ha expresado esta opinión. Es tan fácil de solucionar...
