Santos - Wieden - Vienna

The staff where lovely. They managed to get us a table without a reservation on a Friday night. The cocktails and food was delicious!

It is really great here the atmosphere is wonderful not too hip but hip enough, not too cool but cool enough. The best drinks in town in a reasonable price ranche (Lady Rosemary oh yea) and the best Nachos too, And: I love the signature paintings and style!

Rude and dismissive servers, even to a handicapped woman with obvious trouble getting around. Asked for a mocktail and tea to take-away and the waiter snorted we do not DO take away as though pseudo-Mexican cuisine an Ocean away from Mexico is somehow too good to sell 12EU of beverage for take away. The popularity of this place seems mostly derived by smokers on the patio who 've never had real Mexican food.

Pub and bar hopping around the wonderful Wieden District my twin brother Steohen and I decided to drop into Santos Wieden I Mexican Bar Grill,always had a great time here on previous holidays to Vienna and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the look of this bar ,interior is superb ,an eye catching serving bar ,wonderful decor and furnishings and lots of seating options ,it's a great bar to chill out in . We were here on a Friday night ,this bar was busy with a great vibe ,we were greeted and seated by a very pleasant member of staff ,we ordered beers and nachos ,beer was served freezing cold and after a short wait our nachos arrived and what a treat ,smothered in cheese and just what we needed,beer was iced cold and sparkling and all in all we had a great time before we moved on . Santos Wieden I Mexican Grill Bar is easy to locate along Favoritenstraße. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday,open from 11am till late. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

When I lived in Vienna this was a regular haunt of ours. Sadly in my opinion the place has gone backwards. We shared nachos with cheese which sadly hardly had any cheese. For mains we had beef fajita which was poor, undercooked beef served on a bed of large slices of pepper and a few onions. It will be a long time till we return
