Edison - Vienna

Trendy bar restaurant outside the historic center. Food is good and the service gentle. The restaurant is divided in two area. Smoker area is around the bar and non smoker area is upstairs.

You can only get the brunch buffet before 2 pm and cannot order a la carte. The buffet is below average and does not include a coffee. At €16 a person that is really not a good deal in my opinion. You get a glass of prosecco or an orange juice but the size of the Orange juice reminded me of a tequila shot. On top of that, the entire place stank of the cold smoke from the night before. Even in the non-smoking section. The entire place is non-smoking during brunch but it didn't help. If you order a glass of tap water, they tell you to go get it yourself.

On my second visit to Edison, I hadn't realized that there was actually a brunch buffet on Sundays and I had booked a table for 14 girls thinking we could order off the menu, but no. It is not stated on the main website. The brunch buffet until 2pm on Sundays costs 16 EUR and doesn't include coffee, but is does include an orange juice or prosecco. The brunch was ok, with the usual spreads, breads, eggs, sausage and bacon, cereals, fruit and yogurt, but does not include enough options for vegetarians or options that are more lunchy for brunch. My first experience at Edison was better and on a week day. I enjoyed a breakfast off the a la carte menu which was a much better deal.

Very nicely and stylish done up, comfortable ambience, I would say a trendy cafe with potential. interessting homemade lemonades on the menue, but unfortunately (like today) sometimes? out of order all of them. Usually i have a very high regard to cafes serving horchata, but 2,40€ for a simple Sodawasser bings me to give one star less.
