Bidrage med feedbackVery delicious fish and chips, both cod and salmon. Great tartaric acid sauce, but Coleslaw was a bit dirty. I would definitely recommend it is tastier as Barb’s, although pricier.
We stayed on Saturday in November for a long weekend and they were one of the only locations that were open in low season. Friendly and helpful staff helped us choose and we chose the Sturgeon Tacos that came out in about 7 minutes and were very...fresh. Some covered seating with heat lamps keep the cold in the bay, and price points on the high side, but it was expected. We enjoyed it and would return.
My friends and I have visited Victoria several times and always make sure to visit Fisherman's Wharf. The Fish Store offers a variety of seafood, including shellfish and oysters, all freshly prepared. The Vancouver Island oysters are fantastic, served in a bowl, and the traditional fish and chips are authentically delicious. The squid is particularly excellent as well. The outdoor seating area is spacious with a decent number of seats that rotate quickly. We will definitely be returning here. It can be difficult to find good seafood restaurants without breaking the bank, so this place is a gem. The fries are also great. It's conveniently located just a short walk from the parliament buildings, with yellow and black water taxis constantly coming and going. While it can get busy, it's worth the wait for a seat to enjoy the waterfront view.
The quiet location in Fisherman's Wharf with a few places for lunch open at this time of the year. Basically a small rustic dinning room or take out. The fish and chips with cod and another order with salmon were top notch. Superb. World class for fresh fish, bread and cooked perfectly leave the fish juicy. Never had the baked salmon tried and cannot wait to try again. I wish we had tried the Chowder, but would have been too much. Very decent amount of feed ration. The Cole Slav and Pommes were also very good. Definitely want to go back. We even have a discount on our Whale observer journey from there with Eagle Wing Tours.
We walked from our hotel to the wharf which took about 15 minutes. We were cold by the time we arrived, but the salmon chowder warmed us up. The fried salmon and cod were delicious and we had a great time during our visit.
