Context; I eat in the very best places around the world but on holiday like to decompress and have simple, well prepared fresh food with my family in a local, casual and relaxed places This is exactly what Corsica should be all about. We ate in 3 places in Sagone and this one was the worst. It started well. A quiet restaurant in the small harbour with a lovely view across this bay. Corsica has spectacular scenery and the view from our table was beautiful. But nothing else matched our expectations. I completely disagree with the average TA score. 1. Service was very casual. Nothing wrong with that but I do hate having to ask for l’addition five times because someone is too lazy or incompetent to get it after the third time of asking. 2. They took orders on iPads or similar. Ridiculous in small casual local place like this, particularly as it meant that ordering took three times as long as they didn’t work properly. 3. Menu disappointing. I was hoping for fresh fish or local meats. Yes they presented a small range of fresh fish, but none looked great. I know what should have been presented with as I bought, gutted and cooked such the very next day on my own BBQ. The meat offering; steak and vegetables with fries on the side and you know where this then goes. 4. Most importantly the food when it was presented was poor. The fresh fish was fried rather than grilled or poached and ended up being full of MSG or something similar from the oil it was fried in and I couldn’t sleep well after. Poor sides and I completely agree with someone else’s comment on this. The only good thing was the profiteroles my children had. They liked these a lot. In summary, a shame. I have reviewed 2 other great places in Sagone which show how it should be done.

Nothing but high praise for this restaurant. All wonderful: great food, friendly service and lovely location right by the old port Sagone. We had an amazing family lunch here. 100% recommended.

Superb setting and very well received, mixed at the meal level. price too high (129 euros to 2). the wing of the ray was dry and tasteless. thinking about offering another accompaniment because the eggplants were very bitter. the cut of the fish (dorade) to the weight was catastrophic. a lot of the fish was thrown by the server. the head of the fish was found on the ground, the tail and the central stop were removed with a good part of the flesh, in short a plate not presentable and bigger thing to eat on the nets at the outlet. Thankfully the one was well cooked and good. the weight of the fish announced at the beginning was 350 grams and passed on the note to 450 grams despite our remark. He was offered us two digestives. We left very disappointed. very expensive for what it is.
