Bidrage med feedbackOpening of the winter season in Prato Nevoso. After a day spent on snow inside the Mondolè Ski area, in the evening we dedicate ourselves to our favorite pastime... restaurants. The company is the usual, we are with our super tried-and-tested “big” friends. Four adults plus three pargols. Tonight we decide to go to the wine cellar “Il Gallo”, under the arcades of the main street of the village. On the road a dehor dedicated especially for those who, lasting the day, want to bask in the sun. The structure, inside, is divided into two parts, a first room with the counter right in front of the entrance and some table on the two sides, a second room, lofted on the upper floor (very more attractive) that counts about forty covers. The location is exclusively from wine cellar with wood and structure in dark metal, bottles everywhere and a wall completely covered with parts of wine boxes. Our table is on the mezzanine, as I have already said more intriguing, sin only for the height of the ceiling, decidedly low. We can start. First of all a couple of bottles of natural and sparkling water and their bread basket. Pane di Prato Nevoso, very good and that perfectly matches our appetizers: a Tagliere di salumi, a Tagliere di cheese and a mixed appetizer. Just so you don't miss anything. A valid assortment of sliced and cheeses in the first two cutters and finally a mixed appetizer that consists of: salami, dried tomatoes, peppers and grilled eggplants, various tastes of meats and cheeses, tunaed calf. All accompanied by honey and excellent composed of green peppers and caramelised onion. I'm starting to be served and banal, but good. For our pargols, as well as having drawn full hands from our appetizers, a Polenta concia and the Gnocchetti to the raschera. Two plates to divide into three. Very good and abundant, especially polenta. To drink, go to Nebbiolo d’Alba “Ligabue” of the farm Teo Costa – Castellinaldo d’Alba (CN). A great wine of 2014 with its 13.5 degrees and we will discover, later, with an excellent Q/P ratio. We continue with another round of dishes. For me another Polenta concia, for my partner a Raschera Filetto, while for the two ladies a Filetto ai porcini and the Gulash. All dishes really well cooked and substantial, high fillets, but inside them very tender and cooked to perfection, very good also the beef gulash, spicy the right and proposed without potatoes. The second round of dishes necessarily calls the second bottle of Nebbiolo. There's still two coffees and the bill. The total expenditure is 164 euros with this detail: four covered 8 euros (magra consolation, for this absurd voice of the account, the fact that they did not count the pargols); two bottles of water 4 euros; two Nebbiolo 32 euros (as already said, an excellent Q/P); two cutters 20 euros; the mixed antipasto 14 euros; two polente 24 euros; one gnocco 10 euros; two slices I would say a correct and proportionate account, especially if we think about the order and the quality of the dishes served. The location is pleasant with a very welcoming atmosphere. The service, although very nice and helpful, we say that it employed a little carbure, while the kitchen brilliantly passed the exam.
