Al Porto - Vescovana

A few miles from Padua there is this little beautiful restaurant. Exceptional good dinner and a very friendly owner make you feel at home.

While staying at the Villa Pisani in Vescovana, I was directed towards to this trattoria. Charming decor, warm ambiance et delicious food. Alessandra was marvellous with her great sense of humour.

This family restaurant, between Vescovana and Stangella, in the Veneto, never disappoints. Whether al fresco on a warm summer evening or indoors, whether with locals (including families with children) or passers by, Sandra, owner and front room domo, runs a terrific establishment. A great hostess, even if by some standards rough around the edges, it doesn't matter, as you will feel as if you have come home. The house wine is good, the cooking simple but memorable, you will return time and time again. And, the value for the meal is outstanding!

The place is a little out of hand, the outside is not beautiful, but the interior is nice and cozy. the staff is kind and helpful. good meat dishes (there is also fish) and just the account.
