Bidrage med feedbackIt looks like a shop, and it is. 15 mins away from Verona. Renga is the local term for aringa, herring. There is a famous herring festival around here at Carnival time. Being a veggie I am not too much intetestedin eating herrings, but the place iscworth a bisit. A few tables, several vegetables on display together with vontainers full of homemade herring with different sauces. The kitchen is next to the counter, and it looks real. T They sell local products and they are nice people. I bought my takeaway lunch, a large tray of vegetables, which the lady warmed up in a real oven no microwave, thanks! Price was about € 3,50, really cheap. They had run out of plastic forks, so they gave me a real one. Just like your granma would do. No deposit no return.
We had 2 meals here during our stay in Verona. Both were very enjoyable. We sat at the tables outside and it was nice to soak up the atmosphere as we eat. Definitely have a meal here . The service was great and the waitress spoke good English, helping us with what we couldn't understand on the menu. The bathroom was clean and was quite worth the visit as it was downstairs in an old part of the city.
I had lunch here during my weekend stay in the month May 2013: Piazza Dorrubio 26 Verona. Small Osteria with basic terrass on a less famous but causy square in Verona during the Sunday market. cute osteria bar with good wines inside. Friendly and helpfull lady/owner served me. I ordered an insalata di pulpo with rucola, celery, tomato and mozarella, olive oil: fresh and delicious. Only the bathroom was not of the same class unfortunately, they should do something about it.
