Bidrage med feedbackStayed for 3 nights in September for a walking holiday. Great value, peaceful atmoshere and a beautiful location. The family was very helpful, organising transfers for us. Food was lovely home made (most of the food is grown and produced on the farm itself)!! Rooms basic, but clean with a good view from our balcony.
Before writing this review one premise: I'm Italian and an highly demanding one in terms of food. This place is old and not fashion. It reminds me of my old grandma's house. 90 euros per room per night in low season is overpriced (even if everything is overpriced in le Cinque Terre). Thus, if you stay here I strongly recommend to add 30 euros each and have your dinners here as well. Signora Elena is 85 years old and still cooks for everyone. Every meal is rigorously hand made and the quality is considerably high (only pasta is sometimes a bit over cooked). If you are looking for a fancy place do not consider this agriturismo, but if you are looking for a bite of old and true Ligurian stile, this is your place.
I stayed here with a friend at the end of March 2013 when in general, Cinque Terre is rainy and foggy. We tried to get here coming from Santa Margherita Ligure and it was a nightmare. Please know that it really is best to drive to La Spezia and then back up along the coast to arrive here (Corniglia). Yes, the roads are incredibly winding and harrowing but there weren 't too many people on the roads so that made it much easier during this season. It seemed many roads had been repaired or had at least some type of construction barriers to prevent cars from sliding into ditches etc. Onto the hotel: CASH ONLY. NO WIFI.Parking is quite a walking distance away so be prepared. The place is difficult to find as it is up a winding pedestrian street. We pulled the car to the tiny plaza with a bancomat and restaurant and then called to find out where to go. This would have been annoying if we were carrying bags, I think. We stayed in a type of separate apartment that other reviewers mentioned wasn 't as nice as the main building and I would agree. The space is small but does have a tiny kitchenette. Due to the small layout, we were tripping over each other trying to walk around the bed into and out of the bathroom. The view is of the street below and neighboring buildings, not the fantastic view by the sea that others mentioned. Another reviewer mentioned dampness and it 's true the room was very damp due to the climate that time of year so even the toilet paper felt moist. Based on other reviewers, we were excited about the dinner and breakfasts so opted for both Dinner was good, but not really excellent or remarkable. Breakfast was a disappointment the bread was perhaps several days old, the cake was the same from the night before. My friend had to search for the host in order to pay him when we wanted to leave. They were very nice to be flexible about the departure time, but in general the service showed that they were in off season and not in hosting mode . This is a review of staying at the Agriturismo for the night, in addition to our experience at the restuarant. I really believe that this must be such a charming place to stay in summer but from my experience I do not recommend to stay here in late fall or early Spring (Easter Holiday) like us. It was an adventurous experience, but later in the trip we experienced a very different type of hospitality and so I 'm rating this one much lower in comparison, mostly understanding that during the late Spring Summer/Early fall it is probably a lovely place. I would say for a couple to come here and get away from it all in the early spring or late summer this would be a way to go back in time and slow down life. I don 't think it 's the best place to stay if you 're trying to hike all of Cinque because it really is all uphill.
Our stay at the agriturismo barrani has been very well, the reception has been warm the food is local and excellent, the room was very large and sea view, so pleasant, I recommend this place for the 5 lands, it is ideal
