Woodland Restaurant - Verdun

The woodland has been around since 1960 , which speaks volumes . The Montreal smoked meat sandwich is simply awesome , so much so I ordered one to take back to the hotel after having one on site . The location is very comfortable ,...lots of wood, and friendly staff. Another note is the super pizzas , really really good pizza, some people even come in , order it half baked , boxed and take it back home with them on the plane, that's how good the food is here . Why drive all the way down town to shwartz', this place has just as good or in my opinion better smoked meat sammies , I only have one issue , I like hot not dijion) mustard on my smoked meat, they have just regular yellow mustard .

The Woodland rest. has been a local favorite in Verdun for a very long time.with a complete menu that will satisfy anyone.The pizza is very good and the ingredients are of good quality.The take out area has it's own entrance where you walk in order...,pay and then sit and wait.,thats where you get to see the chefs make pizza with speed that will make you dizzy,I couldn't count the pizza that was sent either to the restaurant servers or to the crew of delivery men ,,,unbelievable,you have to go by to see for yourself,,pretty cool.

Budget-friendly Italian and Greek food. A place to go when you have a hearty appetite because the servings are huge. The staff makes you feel at home whether you're a family with young children, a large group of friends, or like me dining alone. The...service was efficient, but I didn't feel like I was being rushed. The main attraction though is the delicious filling food.

I actually reviewed thus place in 2012 and I declared it was the best pizza! They had a major renovation and were closed more than 1 year and that was really tragic for me. After they finally reopened, we stopped by in March and I...thought the pizza was good, real good maybe not mind blowing but good. Today we placed 2 different orders for the same pizza and not only the 2 tasted differently but I can bet that the sauce is not the same...this one is too thick and acidic and the pepperoni changed...it is not the same color and cut differently! The pizza is less juicy than before! It used to be a piece of art but now it just okay...are you trying to cut corners?

Woodlands has 2 restaurants. 1 in Verdun Quebec and 1 in Chateauguay Quebec! The Chateauguay one is the one we order from regularly! As in probably 4 times a month! The pizza is excellent! Always fresh dough not cardboard! My preference is all dressed bacon...n onion and my husbands is all dressed! Never dissatisfied! Order it and enjoy it as mush as we do!
