El Puerto de Don Roque

Me topé con este lugar detrás del Mercado de Sonora y volví casi todos los días. Los empanadas de pescado gratis para abrir el apetito tienen algo de magia horneada en ellos. Los mariscos son baratos y extraordinarios. Dos veces comí media piña horneada llena de mariscos y la recomiendo altamente. Youtube está lleno de homenajes televisivos a este restaurante. El dueño está siempre allí sentando a la gente, haciendo feliz a todos. Es un restaurante al aire libre en un lugar aparentemente concurrido justo en la calle, pero no te arrepentirás del viaje. Aparentemente muchas personas famosas comen aquí y compartí una mesa con una de ellas. Conocí a personas que conducían dos horas para comer aquí de forma regular. Dudo que alguien hable inglés y no vi turistas aquí, pero si eso no te asusta, disfruta. Las mesas están llenas y comes/chateas con quien esté sentado a tu lado. Échales un vistazo en Facebook y se te hará agua la boca. Don Roque tiene otras dos ubicaciones que pueden ser más convenientes para ti, pero no las visité. Las porciones son enormes pero empacan las sobras y te las llevan a casa si lo solicitas.

I stumbled over this place behind the mercado de sonora and went back almost every day. the free fish empanadas appetizers have baked magic in them. the seafood is cheap and exceptional. twice I ate half ananas baked full of seafood and highly recommend...es youtube is full of TV tributes to this restaurant. the owner is there all the time sitting places person so that everyone is happy. it is an outdoor restaurant in a seemingly crowded location directly on the road, but they will not regret the trip. apparently, many famous people eat here and I shared a table with one myself. I met people who drove two hours here to eat here regularly. I doubt if someone speaks English and I didn't see any tourist here, but if that doesn't scare you, enjoy it. look at them on facebook and your mouth becomes water. don roque has two more places that can be more comfortable for them, but I did not visit them. the portions are huge, but they pack the rest and send them home with them when they ask.
