Bidrage med feedbackNo!!! Forgot to check the reviews first-my mistake! The photo on the menu and the actual food brought to the table looked completely different! You can see how tiny the shrimp is on the fork. Compare with the photo from their menu. Barely any seafood in this dish-five tiny pieces of seafood. Felt like we got completely ripped off. We waited a long time for our orders to come while others local workers) arriving after us were served first. The waitress was rude. Wish I had read the reviews first :
To avoid at all costs, food that bathes in warmed oil in the microwave.
I'm going to have to recommend you pass on this one. There's plenty of other (much better) trattorias in the area! The sign outside might entice other tourists: there's US, French, German, and Italian flags adorning it, they advertise free wifi, and they have hamburgers. Yes, hamburgers. We didn't go for the American food, though. Jamie ordered a sausage pizza and I wanted to test out the local tradition of cicchetti (like tapas, small plates of food you share and snack on). They had at least a dozen options for cicchetti! When I asked for his recommendation (i.e. his favorites), he simply showed me the display case in which they were held and asked me which ones I liked. *insert confusey face* I ended up just going with an order of naggi pollo fritto (literally, chicken nuggets) and a veggie samosa. I thought that the portions looked bigger in the display. The chicken nuggets were so tiny about half their usual size! I was disappointed in both the naggi pollo fritto and the samosa: the chicken nuggets were dry and over fried, and the samosa was not at all tasty. Jamie's dish was much better (hard to mess up pizza), but it was a little over salted to me. We also ordered an espresso and a cappuccino, both of which were served in throw away cups (as a side note, the food was served on disposable plates as well). The espresso was so hot it was difficult to hold and nearly melted the plastic cup I could smell and taste it in the espresso! Strange that they would serve it this way. Altogether a very disappointing lunch. But the free wifi was nice.
