Bidrage med feedbackLovely family-run restaurant with all food homemade. I'm not a fish-eater so choice was a bit limited for me but what we had was very tasty. Servings were on the small side but we only wanted a light lunch. Service very good.
Trattoria da Primo This was a recommendation from friends of ours in DC. They said it was their favorite restaurant in Venice. As it is a 45 min vaporetto ride from Venice proper to the Island of Burano (not to be confused with Murano), we figured it would be good for a nice lunch. We were a bit off, it was fabulous! You get a certain feel about a restaurant when the staff is so amazingly welcoming, pleasant and attentive. Of course it turns out that the gentleman seating us was the owner of this family run (for decades) restaurant. He, his wife and three daughters run this restaurant and you can feel the pride. The restaurant itself was elegant yet with a very cozy feeling about it and truly welcoming. Rosella (the name may be slightly different) was our main server. She was very helpful and patient as we asked many questions about the menu. It's a very seafood oriented restaurant, as many in Venice are, and she walked us through the menu, made a number of recommendations, including a very good glass of wine. We started with a perfect Bellini and Prosecco. We had an appetizer of a very large tray full of grilled prawns, shrimp, sea bream, squid, octopus and clams, along with the recommended glasses wine. The seafood was so fresh and were native mostly from the surrounding lagoon. The shellfish is slightly different looking and tasting than what is typical in the US. Generally better tasting and was prepared absolutely perfectly. The food went very well with wine. Next was a bowl of porcini mushroom and shrimp risotto. Heaven on earth. Delightful dish. Risotto cooked to perfection. Amazing. We finished with the traditional S shaped cookies with zabaglione. Yet more perfection. The cookies, grainy but not dry with a mild sweetness, would have been great on their own. The zabaglione cream was as good as it gets and these are wonderful together. We loved this place. One of our best dining experiences in our many trips to Italy. The staff was wonderful. This Trattoria was well worth the hour and a half round trip from Venice.
Lobster linguine at €28, whole lobster) is definitely value for money…. One of the best lobster dishes eaten on a recent trip to Venice… pasta cooked to perfection, the sauce was great, not too sour and just the right amount of sweetness to accentuate the lobster
Tutto ottimo, dalle pietanze fresce ,servite con in tempi giusti nonostante ristorante pieno. Materie prime fresche..pesce ottimo.
Cibo ottimo, servizio impeccabile, inizialmente eravamo sedute all’esterno ma abbiamo chiesto uno spostamento all’interno con l’antipasto già a tavola e siamo state accontentate. Consigliatissimo.
