Ai Mercanti - VENEZIA

You have to search out this restaurant, it is down a narrow alley and you are welcomed into a courtyard where there is outdoor dining. We sat outside on a Saturday night in early September. The staff were welcoming and very knowledgeable about their wine list and menu. Delicious food made with the freshest of ingredients simply sublime. Could not recommend highly enough a must visit!.

We dined in the square in front of the restaurant in their dehor Service, carefree and fresh quality raw materials and interesting and not trivial proposal. Unpredicted wine charter. At the end of the dinner we entertained ourselves in pleasant chat with the owner who, very kindly, recommended us for aperitifs/pranzi/cenes of the following days Go to us!

My daughter and I stumbled upon Ai Mercanti 5 years ago, lost and wandering down alleys in Venice, looking for a great lunch spot. It was so amazing we went back for dinner the next night. Five years later, another trip to Italy planned, thus was the first reservation we made. And the food, the ambiance, the service all lived up to the memory. Again we ate there twice. The Spaghetti Aglio e Olio Pepperoncino is epic, the risotto delicious we cleaned our plates. Soritzes and wine suggestions on point. I handed out cards to other travellers we met on our trip recommending this gem. It's once again on my must visit list next trip.

Good food, good service, impressive wine list, pleasant ambience and a tranquil setting

I wanted a quick lunch, but once I entered this restaurant, from the parts of san marco and very nice, seen the menu, I decided to get some dishes that in paper attracted me a lot. and so began with eggs with asparagus, dish for nothing trivial, elaborated with competence and beautifully presented; follow a risotto with asparagus and mussels, very tasty and, why not, a chocolate dessert of different concimances. a glass of an excellent sparkling wine before and an interesting crossroads of beef then, a service of two very good boys (perhaps the managers saw the passion they put us) an account also low for the quality of food and wines. very good and marked among the favorites in venezia.
