I went here based on reviews and a few people had mentioned it was “famous”. Maybe at one point it was but my experience was horrendous. I live here in Roma so I know what’s good what is not. First of all the service is non existent, they look absolutely miserable to be there. I was there at lunch and there was nobody else there, should’ve taken that as a sign. They had reserved signs on all the tables to make it look like it was popular yet nobody showed up. My appetizer was ok, not that bad but not good. I ordered their $18 carbonara that they are supposed to be famous for. It was by far the worst carbonara I have ever had. It came out cold and the color of it was brown. I took one bite and sent it back. I have never had to do that before once in Roma or in Italy. Just atrocious. Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely unique culinary experience. Appetizers of ancient flavors with products coming from specific places where gastronomic excellences are produced. Carbonara among the best in the city. Wines suited to the excellence of the dishes served. And outdoors, in the alleys behind the Roman forum, a superb panorama of the Church of Consolazione and the back of the Capitoline Hill. Gastronomic tasting to be repeated without any doubt. .
