Proper old Spanish seafood restaurant, fresh food, quick service, great value. Well worth a visit, but gets busy at weekends especially favourite with Spanish families.
This is the go to place for good value high quality food in Torre. The lubina la plancha abierto is sweet creamy and garlicy. And for a fried fish fest go for the Malaga fritos. Spanish frequent here and on sundays it heaves with people. More reviews would move it up the tripadvisor lists I’m sure. Oh and the Gambas a Pil pil is excellent bread dipping fodder.
We go to El Timon regularly and it is frequented by many Spanish people. The fish is excellent and they have a very good choice at reasonable prices. They also have an excellent tapas range located inside the bar. Paella is served on Thurs and Sundays, which has always been excellent when we have tried it. Would recommend you book a table on Sunday lunch as it can get manic. Service is always efficient and drinks reasonably priced. The restaurant is easily found on the Promenade.
Went to go here Sept 2019 and it’s now closed. The owner has retired. Sad to see such a good value location close but many thanks for all the good food and friendly welcome over the years.
