Cafe Gloria - Vélez-Málaga

We have been going to Cafe Bar Gloria for our Sunday morning coffee for over a year, but yesterday the young son of the owner was rude to me, spat at me and told me to leave. I shan’t be going there again!

We spend most of the winter in Torre del Mar and have walked past this little cafe restaurant many times as it is up a very short allyway right next to the El Eden cafe in the market square and is set in its own small enclosed court yard just visible from the pavement and had often commented that we should visit, well it has taken nearly 4 years to make that visit and now I wish we had done so earlier. We have not had time to taste the entire menu but what we have had thus far has proved to be first class and I cannot praise the tapas too highly and would rate it some of the best we have had in Torre, observing what some of the other dinners were having and observing the satisfaction I am guessing that the rest of their menu is of equal quality and was informed by one of the locals that the Paella was the best in town. It will help if you speak a few words of Spanglish as the very friendly staffs command of English is limited. we will be returning to Torre in a few weeks and will explore the menu more fully. This little gem is best avoided on market day Thursday as it will be packed and getting a table may be difficult that apart I can recommend a visit .

A very good experience very good atmosphere of big food all very homemade

A family bar with a beautiful terrace surrounded by pots, typical patio of charming neighbors. The amazing tape, my mother's recipes. the very good tortilla potatoes and the amazing mountaineers, as if you did them at home. 100% recommended.

Emblematic sea tower place. the beer possibly the coldest tested by the area. quality and quantity covers at a very good price. the treatment of the correct and emerald staff that makes the establishment a very pleasant and quiet place, very busy and with a very good atmosphere. putting a little tail to say that the letter and the kitchen a little bit scarce, are limited only to the tapas. and the management of the establishment that children have the right to play and although with me the film was not going, the children who were playing did not bother to draw attention to the parents of the children.
