Pilot Travel Center - Vega

Not a very clean store. The showers rooms are very hot. Not much air coming out out air-conditioning vents. Exhaust fans not working or not turned on. Not much air coming from fan in shower room due to it being extremely dusty.

Stopped for gas and some quick lunch options. Very happy to find that they had good salads and fresh fruit. Facility was very clean, well organized and the staff was very helpful and friendly especially Jennifer, who was greeting every customer with asmile and went out of her way to be helpful.

You can always count on one thing: the workers here seem lazy and neglectful. The food is often left out, looking older than my great-grandmother! Flies swarm the food while employees just walk by without putting out anything fresh. The rewards system was down, making it impossible for us to access the team showers. This should be an easy fix with a manual override, especially since we can check our points through the app on our phones! As a team, we need to be ready at around the same time to hit the road for our loads, and there’s a strict time limit on breaks. It's frustrating that they offered no help, unlike other locations that at least showed some courtesy because none of this is our fault! One shower was available, but the other had a lengthy wait since we had to reserve it through the app, which currently only allows for one shower at a time. Team functions were impossible because the internal system was down! After trying to communicate with two incompetent employees, including a manager, we got nowhere—definitely not what you’d call customer service. We rushed through our showers to avoid wasting too much time waiting, and we even had to share the shower space. This is, without a doubt, one of the worst locations I’ve encountered. On top of everything, the employees look unkempt. The woman at the register, Renee, had smudged mascara, red eyes, messy hair, and her uniform appeared to have been worn for days without a wash. Appearance is crucial in customer service, and they’ve really missed the mark here! Honestly, this shower will be dirty, and the store is disgusting. These are the only things you can rely on here.

This is just an ordinary pit stop, nothing more. However, it typically offers clean restrooms and decent food options if you're looking for a snack while on the road.

The restroom is clean, which is a plus. I always make a stop here when traveling between Albuquerque and Oklahoma City. The food options are decent, and they offer a good selection of energy drinks for the journey. It's a nice spot to take a break and enjoy a meal, with plenty of seating and tables for families.
