Benny's Caf'e,kerala Spices&books

A lovely cafe-bookstore in one. We kept coming for lunch here. Egg dishes are delicious. Juices are so yummy, especially the pineapple with ginger or turmeric. Bookstore has a good selection of yoga related reads.

Five stars for the combo of taste x price x atmosphere. Everyone loves the iced coffee but I thought it didn’t have the “kick” from espresso (they use instant coffee so that makes sense). But I absolutely loved the milkshakes! I also had breakfast here twice and was happy with the food and the quality. You’ll probably have to wait a bit for food. Also tables are sparse so usually people share with strangers, no big deal. I hope Benny can afford to upgrade a space one day! I felt good about supporting this local family. I would recommend.

We ate here many times, good breakfast and snack options as well as good coffee, juices and lassi. Very good ice Cafe. Not many places to sit, so sometimes it's cuddly, also the street is very close and sometimes loud. Prices are a bit higher than local food joints, but still very ok.

Beny’s cafe is the best cafe in Kerala. They made their ice coffee with milk not ice and is the best ice coffee I’ve ever tried. Their pancakes are amazing, even just the plain pancake taste like heaven. They also made fresh juices and many other things. It is run by a lovely couple and even when the cafe gets busy they provide a superb customer service. 100% recommended.

Best coffee and pancakes in Varkala, Kerala or maybe the whole of India! Definitely try the iced coffee (with frozen milk) and any of the pancakes, they are delicious.
